CABA Mentorship Program

Be a Mentor

What’s better than teaching the next generation of Beekeepers? As a mentor you will help the less experienced beekeepers in CABA.

Get a Mentor

Are you excited to learn from an established beekeeper? One of the perks of CABA membership is the opportunity to request a mentor.

The objective for our program is to partner experienced beekeepers with new beekeepers shortly after completing the New Beekeepers Class. The purpose is to increase knowledge, establish best practices, give hands-on experience, and to foster self confidence in the new beekeeper.

Responsibilities of Mentor

  1. Establish a relationship with your mentee by geographic location;

  2. Meet with your mentee 4 times a year to inspect hives and discuss seasonal challenges. This can include mentee’s, mentor’s, or CABA's apiary;

  3. Return phone calls and emails in a timely manner;

  4. Work with your mentee to develop goals for the year;
